Wenatchee to North Bend Day 1

First day on the Wenatchee to North Bend Route.

Up Number 2 Canyon Road and down Mission Creek to the bottom of Devil’s Gulch where I hid from the sun under a bridge for the afternoon. Disaster struck and I blew out a flip flop – so I spent some time stitching it together again. Then, after dinner, up to the west flank of Red Hill.

Disclaimer: I never made it all the way to North Bend – I came up a few miles short of my goal (Middle Fork Snoqualmie Trailhead) which itself is about a dozen miles east of North Bend.

I was surprised to see grass that was still green – and without cheat grass mixed in.
